Troubles With 11.10

1. What happened to Preferences and Administration? I want to make a disk of this distro and I can't do it.

2. The sound is so low that I almost can't hear it.

3. why do I lose all of my bookmarks with every new distro?

This distro should not have been bought out. It seems like a giant step backwards.

2, run alsamixergui and check your levels

3, backups are your friend

and I agree, the upgrade failed for me and I am now reinstalling.
(nfs shares wouldn't mount on boot causing the machine to fail to load...)
