Hi,

I've been using Ubuntu 11.04 for a couple weeks now and have now switched 100% from Windows.

I'm interested in learning Perl and am trying to install Padre. However, I keep getting an error about dependencies not being resolved.

Reading the error message tells me it needs certain versions or higher of packages, but can't continue due to higher version needing to be installed.

The following packages have unmet dependencies:

padre: Depends: perl (>= 5.10.1) but 5.10.1-17ubuntu4.1 is to be installed
Depends: libclass-adapter-perl (>= 1.05) but 1.07-1 is to be installed

Depends: libyaml-tiny-perl (>= 1.32) but 1.43-1 is to be installed

Am I reading it right? According to the message, the conditions are met for installation. Am I missing something obvious?

Hope someone here can help.

Thanks,

Pete.
