Hello, Everyone

I have tried researching this, I am not sure if I did not use the correct terms. So I am going to ask on the forums.

I am using an NB-205 made by Toshiba, Ubuntu 11.04. I cannot find any way to get the resolution to display the windows correctly (Btw, I am using Gnome Desktop as Defualt, not to be rude... I just don't like the Unity setup). What I am trying to ask in clearer terms is how to make the windows display without leaving the edges of the screen. I have heard talk of making it display in virtual resolution, such as shrinking font I assume?

I am not a very advanced Ubuntu user, so I do not know very many Terminal commands.
Any help would be much appreciated.
