RealPlayer for Linux Ubuntu Crashing...

Hi,

I've just installed the RealPlayer 11/Linux Ubuntu version from the Ubuntu Software Center, and am trying to play back audio files. However, for some reason trying to open any file (Vorbis, MP3, whatever) just causes it to crash. I know that's not really giving you much to go on, but it's all the information I have. Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on here, and/or how to fix it?

Hi there,

I'm really not interested in your opinion. That doesn't help me at all. I installed it because none of the Ubuntu/Kubuntu media players I've ever seen give me the features I remember from RealPlayer in Windows. It's beginning to look to me like the Ubuntu version won't give me those things either, so I've probably just posted this too hastily. I'm going to close the thread and go look for a better way to play my music.

Yeah, I'm done trying. I'm using Exaile instead. Works great, especially alongside the PulseAudio Multiband Equalizer. =)
