Nautilus reverts to original gnome theme when winodow is closed

When a window is closed (mainly Opera for me) in Ubuntu 11.10 b2, The system temporarily freezes and then once it rebounds Nautilus has reverted back to a plain grey theme. Killing and restarting Nautilus seems to temporarily alleviate this issue until another open window is closed after being open for an extended period of time... Which eventually the problem reoccurs...

Thanks for posting this. I have seemingly the same problem.

    In a terminal I enter: nautilus -q

This fixes the application of the theme to Nautilus but I don't know how or why...

Update: ok, I have this greyish awful nautilus until I run nautilus -q, but this happens AT EACH STARTUP.
Has anyone solved the problem once for all?

I have exactly the same problem : at each startup, I have to run "nautilus -q" to get rid of the old fashioned theme in nautilus
