Wacom CTL470M Bamboo Connect Pen Tablet

    Hi

I've recently bought a Wacom bamboo connect tablet; they're are very recent. And for some reason, it's not working on my ubuntu 11.10

Is the tablet model is too recent for ubuntu? There is any solution for get my tablet working?

    Thanks

    Hi zaptec,

It's October again and so Wacom is releasing new BambooPT models. And yes your model is brand new and not in the driver yet. Fortunately Chris Bagwell is on the ball and already has figured the new models out and come up with code to support them. He is submitting it to the kernel, so the 3.3 ? kernel will have support for them.

In the meantime you could use his patch, see: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/f...xwacom-discuss Download the attachment in the third post and follow the instructions.

I need to add these models to the BambooPT HOW TO. Is your model the CTL-470k? Look on the back of the tablet. Also post the Wacom line in the output of the command lsusb in a terminal.

It has a stylus and two side buttons (rocker switch?) but no eraser and no touch?

Thanks for the help, that work now

And yes, my tablet is a bamboo pen only with no eraser. It's a CTL-470

    There's the lsusb wacom line

    Code:
Bus 002 Device 005: ID 056a:00dd Wacom Co., Ltd
Thank you again for the help

    Good!

Does the model number have a K or something? Like CTL-470/K.

Re: Wacom CTL470M Bamboo Connect Pen Tablet

Hence this Thread is about Wacom CTL-470K, I'd like to ask, if any other has the same "Prolem".
While "drawing", grapping and stuff, where I have to slide with my pen on the tablet, he sometimes "looses connection", in other words: It stops drawing/grapping (etc.). Then I have to take up my pen and touch the tablet again.
Has someone else the same problem?

    Hi Alexomnom,

In Natty dropping lines in Gimp was caused by Unity/Compiz. To work around it you would log into Classic without effects on the log in screen. Since Oneiric no longer has that try at the log in screen selecting (click on the gear icon) Unity 2D and logging into that.
