Hey guys,
I am just now learning the ropes in linux, trying to figure out even the simplest of tasks, and in this case i am trying to install drivers for the broadcom wirless card detected with lshw below:
*-network
description: Network controller
product: BCM4322 802.11a/b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller
vendor: Broadcom Corporation
physical id: 0
bus info: pci@0000:0c:00.0
version: 01
width: 64 bits
clock: 33MHz
capabilities: bus_master cap_list
configuration: driver=b43-pci-bridge latency=0
resources: irq:17 memory:f6cfc000-f6cfffff
I downloaded the 64 bit driver from this site : http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php
My issue now (assuming that is the correct driver) is that i am not sure how to use the tar.gz file as i am used to the pre-compiled .exe's in windows. Any help would be greatly appreciated and keep in mind that i am very new in your explanation
