Help Sound Problems

So i'm new in linux and i have a problem with my sound. First the problem was that i heard sound both my speakers and headphones. After some tutorials i don't hear sound at all. if i type alsamixer in terminal says that "no such file or directory" ,and in sound preferences in output tab i don't have my audio card. So please anyone help me....I'm new to linux so i don't know to operate it well

hi... i'm pretty new to linux too, so don't expect too much from me. on the other hand it sounds like i had exactly the same problems as you. so this is what i did:

fixing the current no sound problem:

Try reinstalling the appropriate linux-image package for your kernel.

fixing the headphones:
