In general Firefox problems should be posted in

I don't get what is going on in the video. A well-written explanation is probably better.
If you install Buntu 17.10 remember to download a new ISO file.
Old files might contain a bug which can damage UEFI hardware. Updating an existing installation and upgrading to 17.10 (if one has faith in upgrades in general) are safe.
Hello Everyone,
We had a discussion today on The Official Lubuntu Group on Facebook and some friends talked about www.googlubuntu.com and why "Lubuntu" is NOT yet included?
Well, guess what? it is included starting NOW!
Communication Team has contacted the site admin (I was the messenger) and he responded so quickly. Who knows what else will be included in that wonderful search engine?
Enjoy!

Hi,
I'm now in involved in other area beside Ubuntu Forum. It's very important to know what users think so I'd like you to Vote for the Poll that I just created it last night on Lubuntu Page on Facebook.
To Vote:
1- Like the page if you did not yet
2- Vote here
Those who voted already, thank you
I'm looking for more vote for the coming days because I need that a lot.
On a side note, there are some news regarding LOST. I will start working on it, hopefully next week. As per Ubuntu Staff Meeting, Wiki Pages will be used for Technical and Instructions stuff and Ubuntu Forum for Discussion.
Anyway, keep an eye on all Lubuntu Channels (Mailing List, IRC, Forum and Social Networks) and you will not miss anything
Thank you!
P.S.

Sweet! Now I have a reason to get a facebook XD
Since 2010 until now, I think I have done more than 100 installations for Ubuntu and/or Lubuntu but never faced the issue when you got stuck for 1-2 mins on Lubuntu Splash Screen with the 5 dots and a message saying:
then:Code:waiting for network configuration
And all that while I was done from this: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...&postcount=152Code:waiting an additional 60 seconds for network configuration
By the way, YES, that OLD machine is working now with Lubuntu 11.10 and I will write another simple HOWTO to explain how to install Lubuntu on machines with 64MB of RAM
I did a search on Google and found some messed up threads with many users posting at the same time without a direct and clear solution for this issue. The most recent thread was for this year and has only 3 posts so I posted there: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1946216
Since I do have the same issue and I promised that user to find a fix, I guess I did find already and, as usual, I thought it is better to document this so there you go:
Because I fixed that on a very old machine, I decided to go the CLI and Alt+Ctrl+F2 approach so YOU ARE FREE to do that while you are logged in to the GUI- Okay, I will write the general steps so feel free to use whatever approach you like.
1-If you are typing this from LXTerminal while logged in to the GUI then:Code:sudo nano /etc/network/interfaces
2- Remove whatever written there and just keep this:Code:gksudo leafpad /etc/network/interfaces
It is very good idea to keep a backup copy of "interfaces" file just in case so please make sure to save a "interfaces.bak" file before you do anythingCode:auto lo iface lo inet loopback
3- Ctrl + O if you are using nano and Ctrl + S (File > Save) if you are using leafpad.
4- Ctrl + X if you are using nano and Ctrl + Q (File > Quit) if you are using leafpad.
5- Reboot.
6- Done.
On my old machine (HP OmniBook 4150), the booting became much faster now
Enjoy!
