    How to remove xfce

Hello, Today I installed xfce on my Ubuntu + Gnome3 + KDE desktop. All went well and I did not find it good enough. So I removed it using sudo apt-get autoremove xfce-desktop. Terminal just removed some 10 kb and reported that it has finished the job. But I find the xfce option still in the login prompt. Also xfce removed a lot of packages. I did sudo ap-get upgrade to check them, I got nothing. Can someone tell me how to remove xfce please? PS: Also all the folders are looking weird.

You can try the method at the link , but I don't what the outcome may be , because you are using Gnome 3 . http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/puregnome

I had thought it would've been maybe " sudo apt-get purge (-purge) xfce-desktop though you can go into synaptic and type xfce and see what related packages are still in there and remove them from there. I hope that helps some, as I'm not very familiar with installing and removing desktop environments, as I run just one.
