Reflection under images

I see all around the added reflection underneath images, such as this image below:
I can easily do this using Microsoft Office 2010, but how can I do this using Linux-native applications?

Maybe Gimp, Krita or Inkscape can, but can somebody give me a step-by-step process in producing this? Is this available in LibreOffice just as easily as it can be done in MS Office?

Little tweaks like this being included in Office with only a couple of clicks may seem insignificant, but it is little features like this that helps push MS Office's usability slightly higher than Libre.

You can easily do it with Gimp. Here's a video tutorial (not good audio btw).

dont know, but my first choice for doing image editing is usually not an "office suite".

and of course there must be trillions of tutorials on google about how to make an image reflect with all sorts of different programs, even web apps.

not saying is a bad thing to have the feature in an office suite, but what other features can they add to make you purchase/upgrade?

Usually when I need or want it I am doing some sort of sign, pamphlet or documentation and like to add it for design aspects.

In those cases I would prefer to not have to go to an external image editor, run through a lot of steps, then either save it or somehow copy and paste it into the document.

There are times I need to save/create it as a separate image, but usually I want the "quick and dirty" method.

Combined with MS Office's Screenshot and Screen Capture tools, it really makes it nice and easy to integrate visuals to a document.

I don't know if this works in 2007, I think they are 2010 features.
