Folks,

We need to build a custom box running Ubuntu Desktop. The audio/video output will be via on board HDMI port to an AV receiver.

Part of the requirements is to ensure that the audio/video output is copy protected. No one should be able to capture and record the HDMI output.

The Intel motherboard that we plan to use supports HDMI 1.4 and HDCP.

For the moment, let's ignore the fact that Intel's HDCP key has been cracked.

The question is do we need any Ubuntu driver to enable HDCP or is it just a matter of changing some BIOS setting?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Regards,
Peter
