vpnc (cisco) fails with working pcf

Hi, everyone! I'm new to the ubuntu scene.

(I did search the forum, and google, and wasn't helped.)

I'm running Dream Studio, which includes the Synaptic Package Manager. I used that to install vpnc, and the Cisco plugin.

I've always used my other computer to connect to the vpn in question. I exported the pcf, and imported it into vpnc here. I keep getting the message 'The VPN connection 'xxxx' has failed'.

I know the information is correct, and I can only assume that synaptic did it's job correctly. Just to be sure, I connected from my other computer (which goes through the same router), disconnected and tried again here. No dice.

-edit- If it makes any difference, it fails rather quickly. I'm not sure that the client is in fact reaching the internet. I can ping the target.

I'd rather not run a virtual machine. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks!
