How many of you don't surf the web without noscript ?

Hi,

I personally never surf the web without noscript. Which is why I don't use any other browser other than FF.

I like Google Chrome a lot but sadly noscript is not available for GC AFAIK.

I also use Adblock Plus besides other addons.

What about you guys? I am asking only about security related addons.

As for google chrome, I've heard that the built in sandbox is good, and there is an addon called notscript, but it's not as good.

By blocking JS, CSS3 or HTML5 features will give us an Adobe Flash flooded web...

Sandboxing FF can be achieved with apparmor but as you rightly said it feels odd browsing without it.

I can't answer the question because the options are confusing... Double or treble negatives...

Anyway, I wonder how many people who use noscript actually know anything about JavaScript... Like thinking this is a security flaw... Ugh... It's annoying...

If you want to be secure, your best bet would be to install an Anti-Virus...

Has there ever been any JS exploits anyway? That attack OTHER domains or your local machine...

I wouldn't dare expose myself to the web without it. Any sites that require scripts to be run on MY pc in order to work, I can do without. It's your site, do the computation required to present it on your server, without (potentially) endangering your users. A website is a document, not a program.

I use noScript to block everything other than plain HTML rendering. Most of the web still works fine. The rest, I don't care for.
