Please read this, it is about your wireless card

    https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...11_Natty_11.04

Sorry finally read the whole thing and it looks like you already have b43.

    Hi,

you need the firmware for your b43 driver:

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install --reinstall b43-fwcutter firmware-b43-installer

Hi, if you still have problems after installing the firmware post back sometimes there is a problem with systems that have a broadcom wireless and broadcom ethernet like you do.
    Thank you

Question Re: Dell 1390 WLAN mini-card Ubuntu 11.04

Thanks, everyone, for your help. The fix worked, and I was able to "connect" to my wireless network, however even after "connecting to it" (entering wireless password and keyring password) I was still unable to access the internet. The network icon to the right of the keyboard icon on the top-bar is spinning, and disconnects after a while, which leads me to think that it didn't actually establish connection.

Under network connections, I didn't see any auto-wireless or anything similar. Auto-ethernet (though usb 2.0 lan adapter) works fine, although inserting the internet-cable head into the computer's own port doesn't seem to do anything...

    Let's look at blacklist issues

    Code:
    grep -e b43 -e ssb /etc/modprobe.d/*
    Then kernel messages

    Code:
    dmesg | egrep 'b43|irmware|ssb'
    Boot Info Script
Ubuntu User number is # 32763
Linux User number is # 527179

I would not think that would be a problem with wireless or ethernet. Now as I read earlier you can not get an internal wired connection or wireless correct? But you are connecting with ethernet adapter correct?
With ethernet adapter working do this gets you current with Natty.

    Code:
    sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
    Have we tried

    Code:
    sudo modprobe b43
If not go for it .. It might tickle that driver into working.

    then another
    Code:
    sudo lshw -C network
    Boot Info Script
