LMMS Audio quality distorted?

Hi all,

I just installed LMMS 4.5 on my computer. I have a Toshiba Sattelite L305, 1 GB RAM,CORE 2 DUO T6400, 2 GHZ, with Ubuntu 10.04. LMMS works alright with my computer except that there is a lot of audio distortion, *especially* wen I try to play back lower notes w/ more bass or when I try to play back many notes at once. Tried converting to WAV file to get rid of distortion, shows up even in the WAV file. Can anyone help me with this?

LMMS version 0.4.5 is pretty dated... trying a more recent version might solve your problem.

You can get 0.4.10 (which is not quite the latest ...) through Tobias Doerffel's PPA at:
