Hey everyone. This is a bit of an odd question, but has anyone experienced any problems trying to use Google Maps with Firefox recently?
I am running 64-bit Maverick [fully patched] and have an ubuntu-shipped Firefox 5 installed.
I am currently running the following FireFox plug-Ins :-
AdBlock Plus 1.3.9
All-In-One Gestures 0.22.1
BetterPrivacy 1.66
FireBug 1.8.0
Ubuntu FireFox Modifications 0.9.1
DivX 1.4.0.233
IcedTea NPR Web Browser Plugin 1.9.9
QuickTime 7.6.6
Shockwave Flash 10.3 r181
Skype Buttons for Kopete
VLC Multimedia PlugIn 2.32.0
Windows Media Player PlugIn 10
Basically, if I try to go to one of the http://maps.google.* web sites (I've tried .com and .co.uk) I get a page which loads the basic frame and borders, then the central map, but nothing else happens.
After a few moments a message pops up which reads:
"Still loading... Slow? Use the troubleshooting guide or basic HTML.
These don't seem to work either. If I then fire up Konqueror and try the same web site, everything works perfectly. I am not aware of any specific change that made this difference, as I rarely use Google Maps (but it's *very* handy when I need to...
Obviously, I'm now suspecting either the ubuntu-prompted upgrade to 5.0 of the basic application, or perhaps a conflict with one of the enhancements I'm using. If I can I'd prefer to avoid having to disable the extensions one at a time, so I was hoping that someone might either be able to point me to a solution, or perhaps suggest a practical way of debugging?
Responses much appreciated! Thanks in Advance
