    Wireless help please

Can someone point me in right direction.
    I have Dell Inspiron 1545.
It works fine on wired but fails on wireless.
I am using wicd as an interface. It always comes up with the following error: Connection Failed: Bad password.
I have checked the passwords in both wicd and the router. They seem to be the same.
    Am I missing something ?
    Cheers

Double check that there is no space in the password. Sometimes a space happens to be in the beginning or at the end so that you can't see it.

    Re: Wireless help please

    [solved]
    Sort of.
I deleted wicd followed by all the references to networkmanager.
    I then reinstalled wicd.
    It now works.
    Thanks to all.

I was led astray by the following
    wicd-wired-and-wireless-network-manager-for-ubuntu.html:
Please note that this will remove network-manager, which is the default GNOME network manager and may cause loss of network connection temporarily.
    It does not

The next quote gave me clue.
    wicd.html:
Warning: Running multiple network managers will cause problems, so it is important to disable all other network management daemons.
First, stop all previously running network daemons:
