    Ok,

    why you do not use the deb package from Oracle?? (http://oss.oracle.com/debian/dists/u...1-1.1_i386.deb)

    to get it running:

    1.) sudo apt-get install bc

    2.) sudo dpkg i oracle-xe_10.2.0.1-1.0_i386.deb

    3.) sudo /etc/init.d/oracle-xe configure

    4.) sudo export ORACLE_HOME=/usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server &&
    export ORACLE_SID=XE &&
    export PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/bin:$PATH

    5.) sudo /etc/init.d/oracle-xe start

    6.) voila! Have fun!
