No need for this in this thread so I changed it myself to the developers thread.

Thanks Iandefor, can I also use the debian or plf repos? How up-to-date are the ones in your repo?
Ubuntu User number is # 33337, Linux Registered User #531864, Boot info script, Wireless info script

Rather out of date. The latest release has replaced my repository (which will eventually wind up being a major pain in the *** to maintain) with Debian-Multimedia (Once Marillat), which actually maintains recent releases. I'll still have to work out a way to keep vive in, but it shouldn't be too hard.

    cool project.

You should mention in which releases it works. I'm guessing it's Dapper only (haven't tried it).

How does the sources.list look like ?

    I recommend using this one : http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=185758

I'd assumed people would understand it would be for Dapper, but it's an important consideration to make. Leave it to me to not think of it!

The sources.list used only enables Universe/Multiverse and Debian-Multimedia, because that's all that's really needed for the current package selection.

I thought something like that .

My sources.list uses universe/multiverse and cipherfunk and has other repositories such as PLF commented. I will probably uncomment PLF as soon as the PLF Dapper repository opens. More about plf :
    http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/doc/plf
    http://plf.zarb.org/

I like the cipherfunk repository. It has some multimedia packages. You can point your browser here to see which ones :
    ftp://cipherfunk.org/pub/packages/ub...-i386/Packages

    currently it has :
    gstreamer0.10-pitfdll
    w32codecs
    libdvdcss2-dev
    libdvdcss2

On a side note. I have written a howto multimedia for Ubuntu (gnome) Dapper here :

You don't. You can just run it straight from the directory you extracted it from.
