Update Ubuntu when ubuntu is blocked.

I need to update ubuntu 10.10, but I'm unable to access it at my current location(hotel). I don't provide a username or password to get online. Is there a way to update through an online proxy server. Other threads show how to achieve this behind a university/company proxy. Or any other method?

Probably just filtering at the hotel. Drive to a library/coffee shop/etc or find an open SSID and try SSH from there.
