    books on networking

    i never really got a chance to learn about networks, even though i took a class on them. i would like to start from the beginning and learn about them. can anyone recommend some good books on networks, preferably with exercises so i could practice. assume i know nothing about them.

    any help is appreciated.

    so so many and i am sure you will get lots of repsonses for ideas.

    I reallly likee this series currently in 5th edition

    but there is tons of stuff online

    remember Google is one of the best books out there, you have to sift through some rubbish but at least its free to do so
