Unhappy Random xorg restarts when on battery

    Hi There!

I've got a HP Elitebook 8740w (Intel i7, 8Gb RAM, Nvidia Quadro FX 2800M) with Ubuntu 11.04 64bit. Everything works perfect until I try to use my laptop on battery. Every couple of minutes the screen goes black, and the login screen appears.

The problem can be solved by disabling ACPI (With the acpi=off kernel param). But then I lose many features...

Is this a known issue? Is there a fix or a workaround?

    Greetz,
    Marco

I have the same laptop but have not noticed this issue so far.
For me it is working great except that it seems impossible to use it with external monitors.
