    Hola!!!, Justo estaba leyendo el HOW-TO para TDA y me acorde de mi placa. Hace un tiempito me compre un Mygica X8507 que funciona perfectamente en win pero me estoy volviendo loco para hacerla funcionar en linux.
    Hasta el momento lo que hice fue esto:


    Mi idea es 1ero configurar tv analogica, pero ni eso pude conseguir. En tvtime se ve bien pero no se escucha y en mythtv se ve re mal, no se escucha y si cambio de canal o salgo se pincha el mythfrontend

    Por el tema de tvtime ya me debo haber hecho como 3 how-to para arreglar el tema del audio que no parece muy raro que digamos.
    Y por el tema del mythtv en un principio al problema lo apunte como si estuviera tomando mal la norma PAL-N hasta que comprobe en las configuraciones que se guardan en mysql que efectivamente estaba tomando la norma PAL-N.

    Ya no se para donde disparar...

    No se si es problema de hardware, de software o de los dos....

    Me he inscripto en ubuntu para ver si me pueden dar ayuda con esta placa, he modificado algo del código y almenos la TV analógica se puede ver y escuchar (SAP incluido). Necesito que alguien pruebe el código. En linuxtv.org he posteado el código. Y si alguien sabe algo de programación en C me puede ayudar con la parte digital, me reconoce todo pero el flujo no sale bien, por lo que no obtengo imagen.

    ¿Me podrías decir cómo hiciste para que te reconociera el firmware xc5000? Porque a mí lo único que me apareció siempre fue la placa en sí (cx23885) pero en tuner no. Nunca pude hacer que me la reconozca. Y probé con varios reproductores de video y varios consejos para instalarlo.

    Para que te reconozca el sintonizador es necesario el controlador, sin este último solo interpreta que hay una placa y nada más, no hace nada.


    Si deseas que te funcione es necesario un controlador. En:

    tienes el parche que hay que aplicar a kernel para que te funcione la parte analógica.
    La forma más fácil que encontré de hacerlo es bajarte el último kernel (>3.1) y compilarlo.
    Luego le aplicas el parche a los archivos:

    /usr/src/linux/drivers/media/video/cx23885/cx23885-cards.c
    /usr/src/linux/drivers/media/video/cx23885/cx23885.h

    /usr/src/linux/drivers/media/video/cx23885/cx23885-video.c

    y compilas el módulo con el siguiente comando:
    make SUBDIRS=drivers/media/video/cx23885 modules
    esto te generara un nuevo cx23886.ko (el driver) que deberás copiarlo a la dirección donde están los controladores de tu distribución. En mi caso estos están en:
    /lib/modules/3.1.0-3-desktop/kernel/drivers/media/video/cx23885/cx23885.ko Luego cargar el módulo (modprobe cx23885) o reiniciar la máquina para que lo cargue. Es necesario que el kernel tenga soporte para cx23885-alsa, sino te vas a tener que bajar los parches necesarios para el soporte de alsa que están en:

    La explicación es algo corta y estoy suponiendo que tienes un poco de idea de lo que estoy escribiendo. Si no quieres bajar el último kernel tendrás que emparchar además el controlador cx25840. Es posible que tengas que hacer alguna modificación a mano del kernel, en mi caso altera.h estaba en una dirección diferente por lo que al compilar me daba un error. Para poder ver la TV yo utilizo TVTime, para que se escuche tienes que lanzar desde una consola el siguiente comando:
    arecord -D hw:3,0 -r 48000 -c 2 -f S16_LE | aplay -

    hw:3,0 es el dispositivo de sonido que me crea la placa sintonizadora, es posible que en tu caso sea hw:2.0 o utilizar mplayer de la siguiente manera, por ejemplo:

    mplayer tv://$channel -tv driver=v4l2:device=/dev/video1:width=720:height=568:chanlist=us-bcast:alsa:adevice=hw.3,0:amode=1:audiorate=48000: forceaudio:volume=100:immediatemode=0:norm=PAL-Nc
    Donde /dev/video1 es la placa sintonizadora en tu caso puede ser /dev/video0 Si tienes buena señal de televisión verás que se ve mucho mejor que bajo Windows Espero que puedas hacerla funcionar, cualquier cosa escribí que voy ayudarte en la medida de mis posibilidades. Las cosas que no sepas como hacerla por favor busca en internet como se hacen y luego si no te salen con gusto te las explico. En cuanto a la parte digital estoy estudiando para ver si puedo hacer algo, me reconoce todo, pero no logro que TS salga bien, por lo que no tengo imagen.

    Segundo, tu suposición es incorrecta , empecé hace unos meses con Linux y no soy muy entendido. O sea, puedo manejarme por el Terminal y esas cosas, pero si tengo que editar archivos o compilar ya me pierdo.
    Intenté actualizar al kernel 3.1 pero no me anda la placa ATI de video incorporada y me queda la pantalla negra.
    Si hay posibilidades de que lo expliques mejor te lo voy a agradecer, y sino también, se qué lleva tiempo y no todos lo tienen, y ganas también .

    En la seccion Software de este Foro hay un sticky thread, ya de cierta antigüedad, que explica como compilar un kernel.

    Creo que por lo menos te servira como lectura introductoria.

    Si no podes hacer funcionar con el nuevo kernel, regresa al kernel anterior e instala las fuentes de ese kernel.
    Compilalo, _pero_no_instales_nada_ solo sirve para que las dependencias se cumplan.
    Luego es seguro que te vas a tener que bajar los archivos de los direcorios cx23885 y cx25840 que se encuentran en la dirección: http://git.linuxtv.org/liplianin/med...5-alsa-clean-2 (si esta no funciona, pulsa en la del mensaje anterior que puse)
    Bueno cuando llegues aquí te sigo guiando. Si podes hacer funcionar el kernel 3.1 mejor, menos cosas tenemos que modificar.
    Voy a tratar de una vez al día poder ingresar a internet, para poder leer tu respuestas y seguir con el instructivo.
    Como herramienta de ayuda para editar y navegar por archivos, instala midnight commander (puede que lo haya escrito mal).

    Mañana (ya hoy en Argentina) me fijo eso. El kernel 3.1 lo hice funcionar, sin los driver privativos de ATI.
    Tampoco hace falta que revises a cada rato a ver que hice
