    Lightbulb Compiz Idea

    Hello Everyone

I am not an amazing programmer otherwise I would make this myself (I used to programme in Basic a long time ago).

In short my proposal is to merge to of my favourite programme. The weather application and compiz. I was wondering Wether it would be possible to has compiz start the rain effect when it starts raining outside, or even go as far as starting the snow effect [Beta] when it starts snowing.

Ubuntu is great and my hobby is making windows users jealous, this would be just one more tool in the ubuntu arsenal.

Would this be a difficult undertaking or just a couple of lines of code?

I beg to disagree about the awesomeness here. I had had this idea before, but this does not seem to be enhancing usability. Rather it will be acting as an invasive distraction. Or?

It would have to be done in a non intruding way, but it would look sweet..

    Re: Compiz Idea

How can something be invasive when you have to consciously attain and enable it? I'm pretty sure he means an optional plugin. I get what you mean about practicality but how does something like Wobbly Windows enhance usability?

Also, I think the original poster meant to say, "I was wondering weather it would be possible.." for comedy's sake.
