    Android VNC into Ubuntu

I currently have FreeNX setup and can access my home machine (ubuntu) from my work machine (windows) over the internet.

I also have an android mobile phone and have installed ConnectBot, which again allows me SSH into my home machine, but this is command line only.

I have installed AndroidVNC yet despite my best efforts i cannot get it to connect to my home machine.

1st step is to run ConnectBot and login to my home machine.

Then i run Android VNC using the IP of 127.0.0.1 and port 3389 (output from connectbot)

This however doesn't work. I end up with AndroidVNC sitting at "Establishing handshake", then it fails.

    Can anyone help at all?

    Re: Android VNC into Ubuntu

What about Teamviewer? They make both an Android version and linux.

I found it to be the fastest, and best looking solution.

I wish FreeNX would come out with a linux server.

EDIT: I wish FreeNX would come out with a Windows server.
