Re: The "Corrupt a wish" game

The quality of shows you can possibly pirate plummets when the people making them starve to death because they just don't make enough money to support themselves when you make it too easy to pirate their stuff.

I wish enough people that honestly wanted to see stuff would buy the right to see it instead of stealing it so that it could be cheaper all round (in the end) for everybody.

Re: The "Corrupt a wish" game

Everybody moves to Japan where prices are decent and people download a lot less because of it. I can rent movies on blue ray for 100 yen and often buy recent games for 2000-3000 yen. Unfortunately these islands can't support the weight of everybody in the world so we and all of mankind sink to the bottom of the ocean. Then a merman pokes us in the butt with his trident. Foxes take over the world and quickly eat all those cute little bunnyrabbits.

I wish DRM wasn't restricting those nice people that buy stuff while doing nothing to stop pirates. Nowadays I often find myself buying a game, and then cracking it just so I don't have to take off my pants and allow somebody to check what I have up my butt just to play it.

Granted. DRM is expanded to restrict everyone, pirates included. Now no one anywhere, on any system, can possibly download any file of any kind from any site/server/etc... thus rendering the internet pretty much useless.

I wish we could see relativistic effects at slow speeds.

Re: The "Corrupt a wish" game

Granted. It's still under a proprietary license, so any program that actually manages to emulate Silverlight at an acceptable level will be sued by Microsoft. Instead of pursuing the suit, most smaller developers will just reach an agreement with Microsoft (because if they pursue it, the chance of winning is very slim)
So we are essentially back at square one.

I wish Microsoft Windows is released under the GPL.

Re: The "Corrupt a wish" game

You steal the source code, change the license to GPL and upload it to github. Somehow I think neither Microsoft nor law enforcement will be very happy with you atm. Good luck.

I wish to go for a drink with Shigeru Miyamoto and John Carmack.

Granted. The drink turns out to be cyanide cleverly disguised as <insert your favorite cocktail here>. Unfortunately, they didn't inform you of this until you'd had 3 rounds. Nice knowing ya...

I wish for a flying fish.

granted infant you get 3 and they want to kill you

@zombifier25 don't need a silverlight emulation just there drm code released rendering it useless (drm does not work if it is open source)

Not really. Only that version is leaked. Microsoft changed their method afterward.

That's the cruel cruel way of the genie.

    Anyway,...
granted. I took a vat of boiling peanut butter from the factory and dumped them on you. oops.

I wish I can save up time like money.
