Post How do you Customize Boot splash (Plymouth)

I am not asking you to type a step by step guide nor provide me with a GUI to do the work for me, if you can then thank you very much.
What i am looking to do is make my own custom splash but I do not know very many languages. if you could tell me what language it is written in and provide me a link to a document that teaches me how to work with it will be very grateful.

also, if you can provide me an example boot or splash screen it will also help, you learn how to speak by copying a speaker.

Sorry if I was not able to clarify what I am looking for, or if i provided to much information trying to describe it. Thank you for your response.

Re: How do you Customize Boot splash (Plymouth)

I found a good application that fixed this for me, Plymouth manager.
I found it while browsing through Ubuntu Tweak's website.

But now I have a new problem. Since I upgraded to natty 11.04 my splash comes up, flashes to black, and then comes back up with either 3 small screens from the top left to the middle right of my monitor (looks tiled) or it will fill my screen completely but look badly distorted (like DirectTv on an HD channel during a storm)Any ideas on how to fix that?
