Conkywx 200228 - Weather on Conky

Nice!
I kept haxoring ConkyWX 5/6 well beyond its prime. The final nail in the coffin was when I couldn't pull in humidity [HM] data any longer, regardless of what I tried.
ConkyWX 200228 has been working well, except for a JSONPP error, and subsequent failure to collect weather data, when Conky/ConkyWX initially starts up, after a system boot/reboot. The workaround is to wait for 15 minutes (after booting/rebooting) when ConkyWX refreshes its data. Then, killing and restarting Conky. After that, ConkyWX 200228 works perfectly fine for the rest of the session, refreshing and displaying data, as expected.
It appears to be a parsing problem. When I figure it out, I'll let you know...

@VinDSL...
rather than waiting 15 minutes for the refresh, have you tried this ???
open a terminal and enter conkywx to get this menu.....enter 3 to force a refresh & restart conkywx....

Hi Tommy,
Thanks. I've tried all those. I'm digging through the code, now.
Maybe I'm missing a yet-to-be-discovered 'depend', but I doubt it.
ConkyWX 200228 fails to scrape the data, during the initial startup on multiple machines. However, after the first refresh, ConkyWX recovers and works fine. It's mystifying. Never ran across this particular prob before.
Actually, I don't need to do anything, except be patient. As an example...
Here is a screenie of my lappy, after a fresh system reboot. ConkyWX has errored out, and is hung. I closed the terminal and walked away.
30 minutes later I returned, and there it was. I didn't do anything except take a windowshot.
I'll figure it out. It's just a minor annoyance, at this point...

Still working on a fix for the 15-30 minute wait (until the first refresh) before displaying weather data. However, I got rid of all the error messages, warnings, and hangs in CLI, by updating my code. Conkywx 200228 is working like a charm otherwise.
Continuing...

Conkywx is still alive & kicking with some new features....I find the rss news reader to be particularly nice...but I'm a news junkie
Param is starting to rewrite all the templates in Lua now....says it will save some resources & is more "elegant".....

Thought I might post some of Param's latest. I tweaked it a bit but, once you set it up, it's good to go. That is until you discover something is off a few pixels.
Once you understand it; sizing it to your screen takes time. I've got a 4k screen and everything in the conkys have parameters for height, width which I adjusted. This makes it much easier than it could be.
I know it looks like I'm giving away my public ip address but, I'm not really.
Sweet!
Thanks, Cavsfan
