Hi

I have a 60GB drive on my T60, but am usually running out of space as this is a dual boot, Ubuntu and Vista. I have a 80GB drive but no way of cloning it without spending money, that i don't have for this project just now.

So here's the thought, could I?

1. make a clone image via gparted sending it to my desktop via Live Disc (USB Live) ethernet shared files.

2.Shut down and switch HDD to the 80 GB blank one.

3. boot up via live disc connect to desktop and restore the cloned image to the blank 80 GB drive.

will this work? i am not sure if samba will allow such big files, and 60GB IS a BIG file. i am asking because i just spent a week trying to get a free BTooth keyboard with an old cell/mobile phone and no luck so I'm a little worn out and just thought I'd ask.

thanks

Dava
