HOWTO: Create an Ubuntu home

There are many HOWTOs and guides in this forum. Not to many, but it's hard to read them all. Therefore I hope we can collect all the HOWTOs that are needed to create an Ubuntu home in this thread. What do I mean with Ubuntu home? It could be everything from file sharing to asterisk or the use of PulseAudio over a network.

The question is: How can I optimize my Ubuntu home? What is the next step?

I do not understand what you mean by Ubuntu Home. Please give a better explanation. Are you thinking of creating a guide to Ubuntu? What form do you suggest this Ubuntu Home look like?

Sounds more like he wants a Ubuntu Home Server, in which case I would just recommend using something like Zentyal
