    Smile Error: no such partition.grub rescue>?

    Hey guys after deleting ubuntu 11.04 partition in windows xp i get this
    on boot,

    error: no such partition.
    grub rescuee>

    I use my windows xp cd to repair my MBR but tha didn't help
    i think i need to delete my grub from the MBR not sure tho?
    I knew this this was the right place to post a thread on since is
    ubuntu11.04

    If you really repaired your mbr, you should not see any GRUB message. Repairing the mbr will remove grub.

    I never repaired an mbr for xp, but this tutorial looks good: http://helpdeskgeek.com/how-to/fix-mbr-xp-vista/

    Earlier i did "fixboot" now i did "FIXMBR" and now im in windows xp desktop
    i though they were tha same thing but i guess not .

    For future reference, you need to run both commands to repair the MBR.
