Inconsistent blank signatures

I've noticed that even though I have no signature set, there is still a small line at the bottom of every post of mine, as if there is an invisible sig somewhere.

I've also noticed that this does not occur on some people's profiles (there is no black line). Now I'm guessing that the latter occurs if you have never tried changing your signature from the moment you created your account, and that the former happens only when you make a signature and then delete it (as I did) but it still seems a bit inconsistent.

I just checked your profile and you signature isn't empty.

It looks like this:

It's an empty link, since there is no text between the [url] tags.

ah, thanks for noticing. I had to click on that top right button which says 'Switch Editor Mode' and then I could see the bb tags, coolness.
