Archive daily images from Webcam-Server?

Hello, I was just wondering if there is a way (and seeing as how this is Linux we are talking about here, there probably is...) to make a fully functional webcam-server on Ubuntu 10.04.2 save images daily, or weekly? I have a perfectly installed webcam-server running on my website that you just refresh, and it gives you a current image, but I was wanting to have a daily type of archive thing with it, just because. So what do you guys/girls say? Is it easy to do without using a different program? Oh, and I use port 8888 just like it suggests by default

Both zoneminder and motion create time-stamped archives of webcam images/video clips. Otherwise you need a script to capture the images (from /dev/video0) every so often.

Do you think a script to save daily images would be easy to implement on Ubuntu Server?
