Talking Angry Birds for... Linux? I say: YES!

Chrome users rejoice! Angry Birds now in the Chrome Web Store, for free.

Am I the only one excited by this?

But yeah, great to see a major popular game ported to HTML5 Maybe others will follow their footsteps now and make more HTML5 games.

Not HTML 5, but WebGL. HTML 5 isn't sufficient enough to run a game with sprites that complex. Heck, not even JavaScript.

Well maybe I don't understand it quite right, but I thought WebGL was sorta a part of HTML5 (in the same way the <video> tags are a part of HTML5, for example). Either way, games with open standards and not Flash, that's what's good, no matter what the technical details behind it are

What's so interesting about this tiny little game? Before the iPhone and its "App Store," no cared about these pieces of software that were barely more complex than Tetris.
