Just to let you guys know, if you do a dist-upgrade right now you'll be that much closer to the UGR release that is supposed to happen 18 May.

    Re: gNatty Gnome Live ISO

This I updated just before I sent it .... so it cannot be far off ....... the latest ....

and no errors or problems neither with it .......

I really hope that you like it ......

    gnomeshell - gnomeshell

will take you in as one user ..... I set a few up incase of problems .....

Thing is once you get it and let me know what works and what does not .....

It will be so much easier next time to do this .....

and if you run remastersys off of it ..... you should get a easy way to upgrade it and send

it out again ........ looking forward to version 3 already ......

Cool! Should be done by the time I wake up tomorrow. Maybe the tracker just needed time to update it's database. Dunno.

Now, where you are in fallback mode - obviously - , have you tried to run from terminal, sudo dpkg-reconfigure gdm and select gdm from there?
If so, what happened after the next reboot?
You should probably be able to login normally after that step and, a reboot.
    ran "sudo dpkg-reconfigure gdm"
While I no longer get the xserver error, when I select "ubuntu gnome shell desktop" at login, it looks like it goes to Ubuntu classic.

Classic or fallback mode. Have you applied any vid drivers yet? What video card do you have? (pls tell me it' Nvidia or Intel)

Looks like it's probably fallback mode, which is the norm without the video driver.

That's right, we did this so you're able to login without the error. Yes it is fallback mode, i told you it would be. Now you have to enable your driver (cbowman57 told you already), and reboot again.
Then you should be able to launch gnome shell normally (hopefuly).
