Hi,
The grey-bar image (testcard) means that the front-end video chip has lost lock on the analogue input video signal. This is puzzling, since you do get a picture initially. Hmm.
If you are not seeing any /proc/asound/EasyALSA# the driver has not obtained control of your audio source, and in these circumstances it is essential ***not*** to even ***ask*** mplayer for audio output (otherwise mplayer gets confused and the ***video*** stream becomes disrupted). I suggest trying an mplayer command such as:

mplayer tv:// -tv driver=v4l2:norm=PAL_BGHIN:width=640:height=480:outfmt=uyvy:device=/dev/easycap1:input=1:fps=25:noaudio -hardframedrop -vo xv
This should give sustained silent video.
