CR-48 won't boot to Ubuntu 11.04 USB installer

    Hi friends,

I have a CR-48 running Fedora 14. I am trying to install Ubuntu 11.04, but after I follow the instructions on how to make a bootable USB installer from ubuntu.com, insert the flash drive and choose it from the device list, the computer sits at a prompt for a moment, then proceeds to Fedora.

I know it can boot to USB drives; I installed Fedora 14 that way, and I just booted to JoliOS. I've also booted to a SuSE USB before.

    Any ideas?

Have you tried making the USB stick with Unetbootin?

i agree try redoing the usb.

    off topic:
i'm planning on doing my cr-48 this week, did you format the whole disk for your install ?

i'm reading up & see there are 2 ways to do it, 1 is via script:
    http://chromeos-cr48.blogspot.com/20...-is-ready.html

the other is by flashing the bios:

i'm planning on going the bios route as i may need to install windows later.
