returning to linux and have a few install questions

Hey everyone I haven't used linux since slackware 9 so bear with me. My biggest issue was wifi not software support mainly wine support so I'm a little impressed with the improvements.

Anyway I was wondering if I could get some direction for installing on a Dell mini 1010 while still dual booting xp. I know the gma500 isn't the most wonderful video card but this is my tinkering netbook until I'm comfortable in ubuntu then its going on my asus.

Thanks in advance for reading this regurgitated question.

if you have free space on the disk, the livecd will walk you through the resize process. please do a backup.

Alright, I'll take a look when I get home. I remember the gma500 being a pain in the butt soI'm assuming the driver is doing better.

I'd say, "isn't the most wonderful" is a mild way to put it. 12.04 works almost out of the box, just don't expect too much of it. Here is the wiki: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupp...oCardsPoulsbo/
