    Three monitors, ATI and 11.04

    Hey.
I just upgraded to 11.04 and I like most of the upgrades and new stuff, except that my setup doesn't work as well as it did with 10.10
    I have three monitors
Two of them on a ATI HD6970, and the third on a 4870.

With 10.10 I activated Xinerama in the ATI propriety driver and was okay with that. Video worked fine, scrolling was a little slow sometimes, but it worked.

Now it doesn't really work anymore. Or all regular things work, like browsing or listening to music, but videos are out of sync and has a lot of lag. I use VLC. The system seems slower as well.

I've tried to deactivate Xinerama, which is an option for me. Two monitors that works as one, and one monitor as a separate instance. The problem is that there are no panels on the separate, third monitors anymore, and I can't find out how to add them. So without Xinerama in 11.04 I really just have two monitors =S

Any suggestions on either how to be able to use the third monitor to something useful without Xinerama activated, or how to make things run smoothly with Xinerama activated.

The rest of my computers specifications:
    MB: Asus P6T Deluxe V2
CPU: Intel Quad Core i7-950 @ 3,20 Ghz
    RAM: Corsair XMS3 DD3 3x2GB
    Sound Card: Creative X-fi XtremeGamer
    PSU: Tagan 880W

    Thanks. =)

As far as I know, no panel/launcher and no fullscreen on monitors configured as separate X screen is a bug in Unity, its affecting me also.

Thanks. I just did a clean install now to see if it helped, but it didn't, so I guess I just have to use Ubuntu Classic until it's fixed.
    Thanks! =)

I've switched to 11.04 and would like to get a 3rd monitor working as well. I've switched to "classic", but am unsure how to set up the 3rd. any suggestions?

If you have ATI you activate it from the ATI control panel.
System -> Preferences -> Catalyst Control Center (Administrative)
