Thesaurus in LibreOffice - Natty Fresh Install

Has anyone managed to get the Thesaurus working in Libreoffice Writer?

I have got a fresh install of Natty and I can see that Hunspell is installed but there is no Thesaurus 'sub option'

    Any ideas?

I found it under View/Tools but now I can't reproduce that. I did see that Ctl F7 was the keyboard shortcut.

However I typed i a word and pressed Control + F7 and that bought it up.

I didn't know there was a thesarus so thank you for that.

Cool - I think it may be to do with a locale thing - en-GB doesn't seem to work at all

If I type a word and then hit ctrl+F7 - Nothing happens at all!

I had to highlight the word. Then it worked.

Yes. First a mild rant and then I'll tell you how.

The non-functional UK thesaurus is a long-standing bug in the Go-OO version of Open Office, which is what Ubuntu had been using before it changed to LibreOffice for Natty. The Ubuntu people fixed this in Maverick (possibly in Lucid too) so I'm fairly annoyed that we Brits have been forgotten - yet again! - in the move to LO. I believe LO is based on Go-OO too, so there's really no excuse.

The fix. Have a look here:

The download is in the "here it is" link and the method for installing it was added as an edit. Don't forget to restart LO for the thesaurus to start working.
