Uploaded with ImageShack.us Hi , I am trying to stop my left click from moving the window. This is not Meta + Left click but just simple Left click in the area marked with blue. It happens if I Left click drag on the Titlebar as well. I have tried setting 'Nothing' for Meta + Left click setting shown in the image but the behaviour continues. Is this a bug or can I stop this somehow ?
Its a feature (i really like it). Don't know how to deactivate it, but i'm pretty sure you can.
Hi, This feature you want turned off is part of the Oxygen Theme style. Press Alt + F2 and run "oxygen-settings" in the run dialog. The when that application opens, go to widget style (category), general (tab), then where it says "Window's Drag Mode:" choose either:"Drag windows from titlebar only" or "Drag windows from titlebar, menubar and toolbars", instead of "Drag windows from all empty areas". There are several other useful settings in there too. alt + left click 'move' is used to move a window above the screen display for accessibilty reasons. If you have a large enough monitor then you will probably never need to use this feature. Normally moving a window upwards is stopped when the title bar reaches the top of the screen, but it keeps moving if you are holding down the alt button. Hope this helps.
Thanks a lot ankspo71. That worked , I have been looking for sometime to adjust scrollbar width as well. I use a tablet for everything and this drag thing was getting annoying. I can see how it can be useful tho. Thanks for explaining it to me. Will mark this as solved.
I have the same problem with Ubuntu 10.04 but this solution won't work. Can you please help me? I'm very new to Ubuntu...
