Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal

Ok, if I order a laptop after Natty is released, is that what will come pre-installed or will I have to install it on my own?

Natty will become 11.04 when it is released. After that, OEM's will have to burn the images on the harddisk, so that will take some production time. My guess would be that pre-installed pc's will lag the release by at least a month.
But what's the problem? Do a relase upgrade and you're all set. This isn't Microsoft....

System76 is really on the ball with new ubuntu releases. From what I've seen in the past, it is normally less than a few days when their entire line is shipping with the latest release.
