multi boot, bootcamp, xp / os x

I have OS X and Windows XP installed on my Macbook Pro, the XP installation is via Bootcamp.

Can I install Ubuntu without reinstalling XP and leave the Bootcamp set up alone?

Or do I need to remove the Bootcamp set up / partition and begin again?

Can Ubuntu be installed via Bootcamp (along with the current XP installation)?

Assuming that partitioning the drive to allow for an Ubuntu installation would not cause problems with either the OSX or XP install, then there should be no problems. I would not think that Ubuntu can be installed through BootCamp. There is Wubi, though that only runs on Windows, so that would result in an operating system within an operating system within an operating system.

Ok. Thanks. How about if I leave the XP Bootcamp setup alone and istall rEFit. Will rEFit take over, recognise the XP Bootcamp installation and give me the option of booting into any of the 3 OS's (OS X, XP, Ubuntu)?
