LPRNG Help and advice

Hi guys,

I have a box with 2 printers attached to it: HP LaserJet 1020 and HP DeskJet 1220c.
At the moment I'm using hp's linux driver and I'm sharing those printers to windows boxes. On the box SAMBA and CUPS are running on Xubuntu 10.04.
This setup gives me alot of headache and problems.
I've read some documentation and information about lprng and what it basically is and I think that something like that would solve my problem.
What I need is print spooler that doesn't need drivers or anything to send data to printer. All windows boxes have printer drivers installed anyways. Its not a problem if sole purpose of this box becomes print spooler. I can add some samba file sharing later to it but its not priority.
Since there is no howto on this subject and no real guide, can anyone please help me set this up ?
