    Re: Free games in Ubuntu

You can find lots of free games in the repositories (software center or Synaptic)
There are also lots of emulators; Mame, for the arcades, Mess, for old (game) computers, Daphne for laserdisk games.
Also you have emulators for older game consoles; Nes, Super nintendo, Nintendo 64, playstation 1 and 2, and still a lot more.
You may have to add extra PPA's for the best results.
I have built an arcade cab based on Lubuntu: here's the link: https://picasaweb.google.com/1027458...eat=directlink

There are also free-to-play Linux games on Steam (Counter-Strike, Guns of Icarus, DOTA 2), which do not require a purchase so far as I know.

I drink my Ubuntu black, no sugar.
