Is it possible to replace the default device manager(Like X and gnome are replaced by Wayland)?

In general every new device causes problems with 10.10 64bit. Even if the driver development is open-source, there is almost always a flaw in the device support.

Some examples:
- If your printer is a post 2008 model you have to search for your driver.
- USB drives are slow or are disabled after a while.
- Bluetooth devices stutter and regularly loose there connection. (Some wireless keyboards and mice are unusable.)

I searched the kernel bug-list. Some of these bugs are known for several years but no one seems to care about it.
