How can I delete my own posts?

Hi! I sometimes post the same text twice or more, because of connection problems. I would like to be able to erase them

The scissors icon is there and the tooltip says "edit/delete", but I've never been able to find that delete option. What am I missing?

The delete option is only available to staff - if you would like a post deleted, simply email one of the staff and tell them why you want it deleted.

    OK. Yhanks for the reply.

As a suggestion, wouldn't it be an idea to do, though? At least to be added for more advanced users. It might lift some of the overhead staff might be experiencing. Is there a drawback in members being able to delete their own posts?

EDIT: PS: I'ma a BSG fan too
