    A closed thread

Normally, I understand the reasoning when a thread gets closed. However, I really do not know why a pretty good discussion that 4 separate Mods/ Admins were participating in, was suddenly closed. The last post was actually one by KiwiNZ after the thread was closed.

    Thread - http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1723766

Can someone please tell me, and the others participating in this thread, why it was closed? The stated reason - Any topic or discussion that causes problems or drama will be closed - makes no sense.

Sydbat...I see your point and I WAS part of that thread also....Some times I looked at closed threads and see why they close them and other times I scratch my head.

    Nah. You should leave it.

I just wonder why it was closed.

I wasn't the one who closed, but it seemed to have be getting a bit heated.

I'll bump this over to the RC so an admin can take a look.

There is a note re: closure in the thread now:

Any topic or discussion that causes problems or drama will be closed
The time stamp is just a few minutes before KiwiNZ, so I wonder if there may have been some delay as things were happening fast (multiple posts / thread closure.

I think the thread was closed as the conversation seemed to becoming a bit heated.

I will re-open the thread and I hope the conversation remains civil

There are two mistakes one can make along the road to truth...not going all the way, and not starting.

Thank you for reopening the thread.

And you are right, Kiwi posted only a minute or so after it was closed. I only realized that it had been closed when hitting the submit button.

    Again, thanks for reopening it!
