wifi switches back on after wakeup (netbook remix)

Hi all,

I have a Acer Aspire One D255 and mainly use a 3G Dongle to connect to the Internet.

I have tried to Use the Keyboard command to turn off Wifi completely but that hit & miss as well (No LED light) , so i am forced to right click on the network icon and un-tick enable wireless.

The problem i have is that any time i wake it up from sleep (no hibernation) the wifi is reactivated.

Is there a way to disable wifi whenever the dongle is present? or better still not re-enable wifi on wakeup?

I am also facing a similar problem. When I wake my computer from sleep the wifi autmatically turns on. I own a Acer aspire D270.

So, did you find any solution to your problem.

I am using ubuntu-12.04.
